Láng Temple (Vietnamese: Chùa Láng, Hán character: 昭禪寺) (or Chieu Thien) was built during the reign of King Ly Anh Tong (1148 – 1175). Besides a Buddhist shrine, it also has a shrine dedicated to Buddhist master Từ Ðạo Hạnh, whose birthday on the 7th of the third lunar month is marked by an annual festival. The pagoda has been under many renovations, most substantially in 1666 and then again in the mid 19th century, although these restorations retained the style of the original structure.
